The Five Borough Jobs Campaign is guided by a fundamental idea: New York City thrives when every New Yorker has access to a good-paying job.
But today, New York City’s affordability crisis is putting that out of reach for too many New Yorkers. Job creators – from neighborhood restaurants and family-owned bodegas to innovative startups and local manufacturers – are struggling at historic levels due to supply challenges, rising costs, bureaucratic red tape, and government inefficiencies.
If we want every neighborhood in our city to thrive, we must ensure that local job creators can afford to survive, grow, and hire.
The Five Borough Jobs Campaign is the only citywide organization that brings together businesses of all sizes in every corner of the city – including 30+ chambers of commerce, business improvement districts, and economic development organizations.
We fight to maintain and bring new jobs to every community by amplifying the voices of small businesses, serving as a center for policy discussion and debate, and advocating for critical reforms.

The Affordability Agenda for Job Creators lays out a blueprint for City and State leaders in 2026 to create good-paying jobs, ensure New Yorkers can afford to stay in their communities, and build vibrant neighborhoods in every corner of the city.

Dear [Name of Elected Official],
There are a number of crucial commercial tax incentive programs that are set to expire in the next two years, and as your constituent, I am writing to ask that you do what you can to ensure they are renewed. These programs, like REAP and ICAP, represent years of investment in New York City and as a result have made neighborhoods like mine appealing to companies looking to relocate to or expand in NYC. To allow them to end now would halt the growth of our community and local businesses of all sizes.
I hope that you will urge the Governor to renew these programs so our community can thrive.
Thank you,
